Is Adidas an Ethical Company

Ethics in the organisation is important as the profit maximization is important at the same time .Every company should do corporate social responsibility as it will be helpful to them as well as to the society. If the company is not working ethically then the investors are less likely to invest.

Have you ever thought about the shoes which we wear , about those companies, are they performing ethically or unethically. So, I have taken the company Adidas "Impossible Is Nothing which is the second active wear brand in the world. But how ethical are they so let's talk about it.Adidas  is well known for its iconic Stan Smith sneakers, tees and sportswear,  mainly worn by athletes all over the world.

Adidas has recently partnered with the ocean conservation group Parley for the oceans to produce from the recycled waste. Each pair is made from the recycled material, including 11 plastic bottles.
The company is doing their best by reducing their waste materials, energy consumption and water by at least 20% till 2020.

Another area where Adidas has a long way to go is to ensure that they pay a living wage to the workers. The company should decrease the cost on the advertisement as they pay a lot on promoting their product . On the other hand the company doesn't use angora, cashmere or any other exotic animal skins or hair, which is a right direction of the company. But it uses leather, wool and down feather .

So, as compared to other brands of the shoes Adidas is doing far more better in sustainability and working conditions of the labour. Still the company has a way to go to be called a truly ethical brand.
The company is the part of the fashion industry and they produce in huge quantities and the workers have to work a lot day night to complete the target and to get a little pay.

What do you think about the Adidas company are they working ethically or not.Do read it and let me know about your thoughts about the same.comment and share it.
