Ethical And Unethical practices by Coca Cola Company

"Taste the spirit" slogan by The Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola is the world's largest beverage company. The company serves more than 1 billion products to its customers every day. Coca Cola used to be an American company with a large international trade. Coca-Cola has been solving many unethical issues over the past decades. Due to unethical practices, the company lost profits due to market facilities and lost its reputation. It is one of the advertisements of the Coca-Cola Company.

Unethical Behavior -

The company has damaged the environment by polluting it. Villages in India accused the company of using local groundwater as it could cause water problems in the future. Residents claimed that the company also emitted other types of pollution such as land and air pollution. Kerala complained about water scarcity in 2003. The complaint gained momentum and resulted in the closure or ban of the brand.
Another unethical issue that was found in Belgium, where school children fell ill after drinking Coca-Cola products in 1999. The company does not take any action against its own product, so the product was withdrawn from Belgium. And later, banned cans were sold in Africa. When the media came to know about this, they informed the public. Consumers received this news with great bitterness about the sale of contaminated products. He contemplated this terrible act and withdrew his shares from the company. The company lost 50% of its value. The company's brand deteriorated as consumers argued that it could make up ten percent of the product while the brand made up 90% of the product. The company lost its brand by selling contaminated cans to Africa.

Later, the steps taken by the company -

This led farmers to stop distributing waste products produced during the manufacture of beverages as fertilizers.

This reduced water consumption by more than a quarter and started using rainwater harvesting.

The manufacturing of their product is closely monitored to avoid any adulteration.

These were some unethical practices carried out by the company in the past.

ethical behavior -

3.2 million + women empowered in 92 countries, the company offers 5 by 20 programs to women entrepreneurs for vocational training, access to financial services and connections with peers.

They employ 700,000+ people with diverse backgrounds worldwide.

Local bottlers work with the company to bring drinks anywhere in the world. The company is working on systematic plans -For better waste management system - "Alag Karo" everyday Kishore bin - Its purpose is to separate wet and dry waste in homes and offices etc.

Promoting education as well as creating awareness on waste management-'Support My School '("SMS") campaign, which aims to provide schools with toilets and other facilities, such as adequate sanitation and basic facilities for girls. They have to be revived by providing.

Coca-Cola established a 'non-profit company' to expand its CSR activity

So here I would like to conclude that yes, the company acts unethically and loses its reputation and demand in the market, but after a few years it comes back by contributing to society and providing quality goods and services. They should not get entangled in competitive maladies that lower their level of fame.
